The Palestinian Presidency condemned the Israeli occupation forces raids of Al-Aqsa Mosque after Friday prayer and their assault on worshipers, which led to the injury of approximately 80 Palestinian citizens, in addition to its continuing assault on residents of Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood. Moreover, it demanded to put an end to these violations and escalation. The presidency said that ongoing incursions into Islamic and Christian holy sites, and the continued attack on the peaceful worshipers carried out by the Israeli occupation forces, is rejected, condemned and unacceptable policy that may drive the region into the cycle of violence and tensions once again. The Presidency affirmed that the Israeli occupation government bears full responsibility for the escalation of the situation, and demanded the international community to exert pressure on Israel to stop its violations and attacks on the holy sites and to respect the legal and historical status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
