Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh held the occupation authorities fully responsible for the life of prisoner Ghadanfar Abu Atwan, who has been on hunger strike for 62 consecutive days, and demanded his immediate release. The PM also held the occupation authorities responsible for the life of the lawyer in the Independent Commission for Human Rights, Farid al-Atrash, who was admitted to the hospital for treatment due to his deteriorating health condition after his arrest by the occupation forces at the Container checkpoint. Shtayyeh condemned the new Israeli government’s intensification of its settlement plans and its continued demolition of facilities and citizens’ homes in the al-Bustan neighborhood and Wadi Hilweh in Silwan, tightening access to Sheikh Jarrah, in addition to settlers’ continued violations of the al-Aqsa Mosque, demanding an end to these violations.
