Major-General Qadri Abu Bakr, head of the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, called on the human rights, legal and humanitarian institutions of the international community to put pressure on the Israeli government to release the prisoner Muhammad al-Halabi. Abu Bakr explained that the 42-year-old prisoner Muhammad al-Halabi is the owner of the longest trial in the history of the prisoner movement, as he had faced, in three and a half years, more than 140 court sessions. Al-Halabi is still suffering before the Israeli judiciary, despite the inability of the judiciary to convict him of any charges since his arrest in June 2016. He was arrested for transferring money to an organization in Gaza, as he is the former director of the World Vision in Gaza, which specializes in the field of relief and humanitarian aid, according to Abu Bakr.
