The Peace Organization said that the Jerusalem Magistrate Court ordered the eviction of 30 Palestinians from three homes in Sheikh Jarrah in favor of settlers. Peace Now clarified that the eviction lawsuits against Palestinian families were filed by a company called “Nahalat Shimon”, owned by a foreign company registered in Delaware (USA), which represents settlers seeking to build a large settlement in Sheikh Jarrah, and who claimed that they bought the land at the end of the nineteenth century. Peace Now denounced this as “part of an organized and systematic campaign of settlers, assisted by government agencies, to expel entire communities in East Jerusalem and to establish settlements in their stead.” To check the news, click here.
