The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has condemned an Israeli court decision to transfer possession of two homes belonging to Palestinian citizens for the benefit of settlers, in the context of what it described as an ongoing occupation plan aimed at deporting 700 Jerusalemites from their homes in the Batn al-Hawa neighborhood in the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque. The ministry said in a statement that it is an integral part of the expansionist colonial occupation projects aimed at Judaizing occupied East Jerusalem and its surroundings, and the displacement of its Jerusalemite citizens. The Ministry called on the international community to assume its political, legal, and moral responsibilities towards the crimes of the occupation and its grave violations of international law, especially towards the apartheid regime enshrined in occupied Palestine.
