he Palestinian National Council called on the Inter-Parliamentary Union, regional and international associations and parliaments, and the parliaments of the world to take positions similar to the positions of the EU Parliament members to demand a ban on trade and an end to support for illegal settlements in the occupied territories. The Council stressed the importance of the letter of the members of the European Parliament addressed to Valdis Dombrovskis, Executive Vice President of the European Commission, regarding the necessity of prohibiting trade and economic support for illegal settlements in the occupied territories, considering that the settlements are illegal and must be removed.
