The Palestinian National Council called on the parliaments of the world to intervene to save the life of the captive Maher Al-Akhras, who has been on hunger strike for 85 consecutive days, rejecting his administrative detention, as the Council described what Al-Akhras is subjected to a slow death, as the occupation authorities rejected an urgent request twice for his release despite the deterioration of his health. The council also called on parliaments to send committees to examine the situation of prisoners in Israeli prisons, including solitary confinement, and to work to end administrative detention.
