The president of the Palestinian Prisoners Club, Qadura Fares, said that the amendments to the Prisoners Law should not affect their rights and the rights of their families in any way. Fares added that the law deals with two categories: They are the prisoners in the occupation prisons and the freed prisoners. He added, “A solution has been found for the freed ones by taking them to work restrictions in the Palestinian Authority’s civil and security institutions, and whoever is unable to engage in work due to his health status or his skills will be referred to retirement without prejudice to his current acquired right, and thus, the crisis of about 7,000 out of about 12,000 prisoners and freed prisoners will be ended.” Concerning prisoners inside the occupation prisons, Fares stressed the need not to infringe upon their right, and that “no one can do that.” To check the news, click here
