Researcher Nadia R. Sirhan publishes a paper entitled: “Media Censorship in the Reporting of the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict” focusing on the British press. In this research, Sirhan reveals how narratives are manipulated by looking at censorship in the British written press, its presentation of information, and the way it is presented. The paper reveals the omissions and misrepresentations to which the media material is exposed, including if and how events are contextualized, and whether the military occupation or other vital information was given. Sirhan also noted the great difference in portraying violence from each side, and this was followed by a discussion of the Israeli lobby in Britain and international control and its impact on covering the conflict.
