The President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, discussed at the Presidential Office in Ramallah, with Romanian Prime Minister Ludovic Orban, issues of mutual interest and the development of bilateral relations between the two countries. Orban affirmed his country’s position on the Palestinian issue and its commitment to relevant UN and international decisions related to resolving the conflict based on international law. For his part, President Abbas praised Romania’s firm stances for achieving peace based on the two-state solution and international law. He called again for an international peace conference.
