Saeb Erekat, Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the PLO, said: “The conflict is between us and Israel, and we have not authorized anyone to speak on our behalf as Palestinians, and normalization of relations with Israel should not take place before the occupation ends, because any normalization with Israel is understood as giving an award to the occupation and Netanyahu.” He added that the PA had contacted several Arab and non-Arab countries, which affirmed the establishment of a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders based on international legitimacy and the two-state solution. He pointed out that the League of Arab States will hold a meeting on September 9, noting that it is necessary to know the measures that will be taken against any country that deviates from the League’s decisions.
