On this day in 1955, the UNSC adopted Resolution (107) of March 30, 1955, in which it regrets the recent outbreak of violence in the area along the Armistice line between Egypt and Israel on February 24, 1949. It calls upon both parties to take all necessary steps immediately to achieve order and calm in the region, in particular, to refrain from further violence, and to continue to fully implement the ceasefire.
