Syrian Minister of Information Imad Sarah welcomed the decision of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to open an investigation into the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation and called on the international community to impose sanctions on the occupation for its crimes. He affirmed Syria’s position in support of the right of the Palestinian people to establish a Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital. This came during Sarah’s meeting with the Director-General of the PLO’s Political Department Ambassador Anwar Abdul-Hadi, who discussed with him the latest developments of the situation in Palestine and the ways of strengthening media cooperation between Palestine and Syria.
