The Arab Network of National Human Rights Institutions called on the Secretary-General of the UN, António Guterres,  regarding the Israeli military aggression on the Gaza Strip, stating that the continuing Israeli occupation of systematic repression and human rights violations against Palestinians is based on the apartheid regime. The network called on Guterres to reconsider the withdrawal of the ESCWA report issued in March 2017, which confirms that the Israeli occupation state has established a system of apartheid that dominates the entire Palestinian people, and that the facts and evidence prove beyond any doubt that Israel, with its policies and practices, is guilty of committing a crime Apartheid as defined by articles of international law, a matter which was recently confirmed in the Human Rights Watch report issued last April.
