The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, said during his speech at the closing plenary session of the Manama Dialogue at its sixteenth session entitled: “New security partnerships in the Middle East,” that the solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is based on the two-state solution as envisioned in the Arab Peace Initiative would protect the rights, interests, and security of all parties in the Middle East. He added that this “will prove beyond any doubt the value and importance of joint work to resolve the outstanding issues. Moreover, this will finally cancel the pretext used to justify some of the threats we have seen to regional security, whether from states or non-state actors.” He also said that they want this cooperation to complement the current relations, not replace them, emphasizing that “our friends and allies in the international community must provide the strongest and widest possible support for these efforts in achieving and maintaining true regional security and in resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.” To check the news, click here
