The Balfour Projects announced its intention to hold their annual conference entitled “Human Rights in Palestine: Responsibility and Accountability”. The conference will emphasize International Law and call for equality for Palestinians. It will also analyze the current situation on the ground, including the legal framework of the Occupation, Britain’s role both during the Mandate and now, and what actions the international community can and should take, individually and collectively, to advance equality between Palestinians and Israelis and to ensure responsibility for continuing abuses of fundamental human rights.
The conference will bring together a range of distinguished speakers, including those with direct experience of the day-to day reality in Palestine. The conference will be hybrid, with an in-person gathering at the Church House in Westminster, London as well as an online option, from 2:00 – 6:30 pm London Time on May 17 2023.
