The FFM was conducted between 23 and 27 September 2019 by 3 officials from the Home Office’s Country Policy and Information Team (CPIT), with support from the British Consulate. The team visited East Jerusalem, Ramallah and Bethlehem in the West Bank, and Tel Aviv in Israel. The FFM worked on conducting a number of face-to-face interviews, interviewing Palestinian, administrative, and international human rights organizations and directly examining the situation. In addition, the team’s 150-page report concluded that Israel still maintained superior command over freedom of movement, restrictions, and population registration. The report also mentioned that the humanitarian and human rights situation is worse in the Gaza Strip than in the West Bank, and cited examples of this, such as the death sentence in Gaza, and living, water, electricity, and health conditions.
