The UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) unanimously recognized the admissibility of the complaint submitted by the State of Palestine against Israel, for the latter’s systematic violations of the provisions of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination and its racist policies against Palestinian people. The committee emphasized that the “Israeli judiciary” is an accomplice in committing these violations, and that Israeli policies violate international humanitarian law. On the background of the issuance of the decision, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates (MOFAE) called on the international community to uphold its obligations and take all necessary measures to end the hardship of the Palestinian people.
