The Court of First Instance of Nablus delivered its decision on the case regarding the consequences of the “Balfour Declaration,” and the violations committed by Britain during its mandate over Palestine. The case was originally filed by Palestinian lawyers on behalf of the National Independent Assembly, the International Foundation for the Follow-up of the Rights of the Palestinian People and the Palestinian Journalists’ Union, against the British Government. The Court held the “Balfour Declaration” invalid for violating peremptory norms of international law. It also held Britain legally responsible for its violation of those norms and demanded it to apologize to the Palestinian people. To check the news, click here
