Former Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs Tzipi Livni was awarded the International Bridge Award for the current year 2020. In response to this step, the Euro-Mediterranean Monitor for Human Rights sent a letter to the president of the bridge society that strongly rejects society’s decision, in light of Livni’s clear commitment to war crimes and crimes against humanity committed against the Palestinian people in a way that encourages the occupying power to continue its criminal approach, according to the Euro-Mediterranean. Euro-Med Monitor called on the Bridge Prize Society to “seriously reconsider its decision and withdraw the prize awarded to Livni. The Bridge Award is an international award awarded annually by the German town of Gorlitz to a person who through his activities and actions contributed to shaping a better understanding among peoples in Europe.
