The Hague Centre for Humanity has announced that it will hold an online event titled “Palestine and the International Criminal Court’s Paralysis: Is Justice Still Possible for Palestinians?”. Senior Palestinian and international non-governmental organization leaders, scientists, and artists will gather at the event to emphasize the International Criminal Court’s lack of effectiveness in the face of Israeli aggression against Palestinians.
In view of the Court’s recent activities in urgent cases and situations, there are worries about the lack of meaningful investigations into the Palestinian dilemma, which is one of the most well-documented examples of war crimes and crimes against humanity. This public event is intended to mobilize all stakeholders to push the International Criminal Court’s Prosecutor to pursue accountability in Palestine as soon as possible.
The event will be hosted by Tristino Mariniello of the “Victims of Gaza” legal team. It will also feature a number of speakers including Raji Saurani, Director of the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights, Roger Waters, co-founder of the Pink Floyd band, and Susan Akran, Boston University Professor and Director-General of the Right to Life Foundation.
The event will take place on Monday, May 23 from 4.30 to 7 p.m. CET. For further details and to register, click here
