The Palestinian National Commission for Education, Culture and Science (PNCECS) announced the inclusion of the Heritage Committee in the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization “ICESCO”, two Palestinian heritage sites on the “final list of heritage sites in the Islamic world”, which are the old city of Hebron, and Palestine, the Land of Olives and Vines- the Cultural Landscape of Southern Jerusalem, Battir, and 3 sites on the “preliminary list”, which are the Throne villages, Anthidon in Gaza, and the Old City of Nablus and its environs. “The Palm: associated traditions, skills and practices” was included as an intangible heritage component for the several Member States, including Palestine. This came on the sidelines of the third extraordinary session held by the Heritage Committee in the Islamic World through visual communication technology. To check the news, click here
