OCHA’s humanitarian community has developed a Humanitarian Response Plan for 2020. The plan has focused on addressing humanitarian needs in Area C, Hebron H2 (the area under Israeli control) and East Jerusalem in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
The plan consists of three strategies: the first is protecting the rights of Palestinians living under occupation, including those who live under blockade, the second is meeting the basic needs of the vulnerable Palestinians living under occupation, and the third is supporting vulnerable Palestinians to cope with, and overcome, a protracted crisis, including from environmental threats.
The plan was launched with the participation of Palestinian Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh, accompanied by the humanitarian coordinator Mr. Jamie McGoldrick.
