The International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) condemned Israeli violations against Palestinians in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalem. The Istanbul-based ICJ issued a statement on the recent attacks, describing them as a clear legal violation of the status of the Mosque and as running contrary to the relevant international laws. The Commission called on the international community and international organizations to assume responsibility for an immediate cessation of these illegal attacks by settlers and the occupation forces aimed at restricting Palestinians’ freedom of worship. The ICJ further called for support of the Palestinian people throughout Palestine, particularly those in Jerusalem. For further details, click here
