The Cabinet approved the proposal of Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Benny Gantz to hold the flag march on Tuesday, June 15, according to a plan to be agreed upon between the police and the march organizers. This came after the Chief of the Israeli Police, Kobi Shabtai, had announced the cancellation of the “flags march” that was scheduled for Thursday, June 10 in occupied Jerusalem, following the recommendations of the security services and the political officials that conducting the march would lead to an escalation in Jerusalem and inflame the already exacerbating tension in the West Bank and Gaza.
