The Israeli municipality in Jerusalem issued notices to demolish 13 inhabited homes in the town of Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which constitutes a shelter for “76” individuals. A member of the Silwan Defense Committee, Fakhri Abu Diab, said that the municipality argued that the reason for the demolition was the lack of a building permit, despite his assertion that the houses met the conditions of construction, adding that on the other hand there are unlicensed settler homes that are only a few meters away from them.
