The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs condemned the continuation of Israeli violations in Al-Aqsa Mosque, the latest of which was allowing extremists to storm the mosque and prolonging the period of their incursions, and the arrest of several employees of the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, the last of which was the Deputy Director, and issuing deportation decisions against them. The ministry’s spokesperson, Ambassador Dhaifallah Ali Al-Fayez, called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities to exert pressure on Israel to stop the ongoing violations of the Noble Sanctuary( Haram esh-Sharif ). Al-Fayez also confirmed that the entire Al-Aqsa Mosque is a place of worship for Muslims and that the administration of the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs under international law and the historical and legal status quo is the authority that has exclusive jurisdiction to manage all the affairs of the Haram esh-Sharif and regulate entry to it.
