Jordanian King Abdullah II affirmed that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is still worsening despite the attempts of some to end the conflict through “normalization”. The Jordanian king added during his speech to the United Nations General Assembly: “The conflict continues to exacerbate to this day. The only way to end the central conflict in the region is based on the two-state solution, in accordance with international law and UN resolutions. The only way towards a just and lasting peace must lead to the establishment of an independent, sovereign, and a viable Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, so that it may live in security and peace alongside Israel”. The king called on the international community to provide the necessary protection for the occupied city of Jerusalem. To check the news, click here.
