The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs in Jordan condemned the decisions of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Kosovo to transfer their embassies to Jerusalem and rejected the two decisions as a clear contravention of international law. The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, Ambassador Dhaifallah Ali Al-Fayez, emphasized that the decisions are in flagrant contradiction to the rules of international law, especially Security Council Resolutions 476, 478, and 2334, all of which say that East Jerusalem is an occupied land which falls under the applicable rules of international law. Any decisions or actions aiming to change the legal status of Jerusalem or its demographic composition are unconstitutional, illegal, and have no legal effect. To check the news, click here.
