The Norwegian Refugee Council (A Humanitarian Non-Governmental Organization) issued a statement criticizing Israeli policies and procedures for targeting homes, water, and sanitation and hygiene facilities in the occupied west bank. The statement said that these policies prevent the Palestinian government from taking the necessary measures to ensure the safety of its citizens. The secretary-general of the council, Jan Egeland, said “it is Israel’s legal obligation to protect the health and life of Palestinians under occupation, we urge Israeli authorities to immediately cease the unlawful destruction and seizure of property in the west bank, including humanitarian relief items”. He also called on the Israeli authorities to stop the policy of house demolitions. To check the news, click here
