In the cabinet meeting, No. (61) held on June 15th, the Palestinian government has approved a number of incentives aimed at encouraging investment in Area C, from which Israel intends to include parts of it. Among the incentives provided was a 66% tax cut for a period of 5 years for the tranches covered by the incentives. These incentives will be introduced retroactively from the beginning of 2020. It is reported that Area C constitutes approximately 62% of the area of the West Bank. These incentives come as part of the Palestinian tendency to reinforce the Palestinian presence in Area C to confront the Israeli incursion over it with annexation. To check the news, click here
