On 3rd of Feb 2020, the Palestinian Cabinet issued Decision No. 1/41 to prevent a group of Israeli export from entering Palestinian markets.
It is noteworthy that Palestinian vegetable export to the Israeli market amount to 55 million dollars annually, while imports of Palestinian vegetables and fruits from Israel are estimated at 300 million dollars. Several months ago,
the Palestinian Authority decided to stop importing calves from Israel, as part of its plans for economic and commercial secession.
Palestinian Minister of Agriculture Riyad Al-Atari said that the Palestinian government dealt with the decision of the Israeli army minister regarding the ban on the export of some Palestinian agricultural products as a political tool aimed at exerting economical pressure on the Palestinians, and therefore the Palestinian government did the same.
