The Palestinian Center for Human Rights made a statement condemning using of collective punishment policy by Israel against the Gaza Strip population, including enhanced restrictions on the movement of imports and exports to and from Gaza. The Center also said that the Israeli authorities recently imposed “impossible conditions on merchants and farmers from Gaza” demanding them to remove the green stem of tomatoes before export. This condition follows a ban on exports for over a month following the conclusion of the Israeli aggression on Gaza. The Center called on the international community to intervene to stop the Israeli occupation from imposing the new obstacles and restrictions on the export and import movements and to halt the collective punishment policies.
