The Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad Al-Malki, stressed, during his speech at the 2nd Ministerial meeting of the Group of Friends of Victims of Terrorism, that the State of Palestine has also turned to international mechanisms to ensure accountability and redress for international crimes perpetrated against the Palestinian people. Al-Maliki added, “Victims of terrorism deserve and expect first and foremost justice and the Palestinian victims are no exception.”He also stressed that Palestine endeavors to bring the perpetrators of terrorist acts to justice as an integral part of its role in combating terrorism. He also thanked the Secretary-General of the UN António Guterres, for the recommendations contained in his report on victims of torture, stressing the readiness of the State of Palestine to work to advance his implementation at the national and international levels.
