On Sunday, July 27, 2020, the Israeli occupation authorities prevented 11 Palestinian citizens from traveling through the Karama crossing (between the West Bank and Jordan), as they were on their way to the USA within the batches of those stranded in Palestine, according to the Palestinian Foreign Affairs, they banned the Palestinian travelers under flimsy pretexts, including that some of their passports were recently renewed by the State of Palestine and were not registered with the Israeli Occupying Power, as the Ministry confirmed that these measures are a form of collective punishment and a violation of international law and the Geneva Conventions, and an attempt to blackmail the Palestinian Authority and put pressure on it to retract the decision to cut ties with Occupation.
