The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Israel is taking advantage of religious holidays to escalate attacks on Palestinian citizens and their property, as settlers launched a massive campaign of attacks and vandalism in Aqbat al-Khalidiya and Bab al-Amud in the Old City and the French Hill settlement in Jerusalem on the evening of February 28. The Foreign Ministry added that these attacks coincide with the Jewish “Purim” celebrations.  It further urged the ICC’s Prosecutor to promptly announce the opening of an official investigation into the crimes of Israel and its settlers.
