The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called on the UN Security Council and the International Criminal Court to assume their legal and moral responsibilities towards the crime of continuous settlement, and to implement the relevant UN resolutions, especially Resolution 2334. The Ministry condemned the decision of the occupation authorities to lay the foundation stone for the construction of 350 new units in ”Beit El” settlement near the city of Al-Bireh; within the framework of the construction and settlement expansion process at the expense of the Palestinian land, and the participation of four ministers in the Israeli government in a festive manner accompanied by provocative statements and racist colonial stances. The Ministry held the Israeli government fully responsible for the crimes of settlement, home demolitions and forced displacement of Palestinian citizens that constitutes a war crime against humanity for which international law is held accountable. It stressed that settlement in all its forms is invalid and illegal in accordance with international legitimacy, its resolutions and the Geneva Conventions and international humanitarian law, and is one of the most violent crimes referred by the State of Palestine to the International Criminal Court.
