The Palestinian National Council condemned the visit of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to the settlement of “Psagot” established on Palestinian citizens’ lands in the occupied city of Al-Bireh, which is the first visit for a US Secretary of State to the Israeli settlements in the occupied lands. The National Council considered this visit a dangerous precedent in international relations, and it is a blatant American challenge to international legitimacy decisions. The National Council called on the UN Security Council, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and the parliaments of the world to condemn this colonial visit and to take the necessary measures against Trump’s administration.
