The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club held Israel’s prison administration fully responsible for the fate and life of the 37-year-old prisoner Hussein Masalma, from Bethlehem, after it was announced that he had leukaemia. According to the statement issued by the prisoner’s club, Masalma had been suffering from severe abdominal pain two months ago, medical negligence and procrastination in transferring him to the hospital, after transferring him, they found that he had cancer. Moreover, the prisoners club considered that this incident constitutes a serious warning, especially with the recent increase in the number of sick prisoners, particularly those with cancer. The Prisoners Club called on the international community to take a serious and effective position on the ongoing occupation crimes against the prisoners and to exert pressure for the release of the sick and elderly prisoners.
