The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia renewed what it described as its consistent position on the Palestinian question which is a fundamental Arab issue. The Minister of Media, Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, stated that the Saudi Council of Ministers had renewed the Kingdom’s position towards the Palestinian question as a fundamental Arab issue during its last session. It had not hesitated to defend it since the era of King Abdulaziz, and it remains at the top of the issues that the KSA supports in its foreign policy. Besides, The KSA emphasized its commitment to support the strategic choice for peace, and its adherence to the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative, under international resolutions and laws. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of the Israeli occupation ceasing to build settlements on Palestinian lands, which constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and an obstacle to achieving permanent and comprehensive peace.
