The Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the need to continue to exert pressure on the Israeli occupation in order to coerce it into the decisions of international legitimacy, and to stop its grave violations against the Palestinian people, including the settlement policy and the forced displacement of Palestinians, along with annexing Palestinian lands, changing the landmarks of Palestinian cities, and obliterating their identity. The Tunisian Foreign Ministry said that Tunisia stresses that these attacks must be ceased through providing protection for the Palestinian people, putting an end to the policy of impunity, and activating accountability mechanisms for war crimes committed against innocent civilians. It also affirmed that the establishment of a just, comprehensive and lasting peace will only be achieved by ending the occupation and restoring the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights that are not negotiable or disposable, foremost among which is their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state, with Jerusalem as its capital.
