US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, has expressed U.S. opposition to the decision of the International Criminal Court’s Prosecutor to open a full investigation into alleged war crimes committed by Israel and Hamas “terrorist group” in the Gaza Strip, as he put it. He tweeted on his official Twitter page that the US shall continue to uphold its strong commitment to Israel and its security, including opposing actions that seek to unfairly target Israel. In response, the US Congresswoman from Michigan state of Palestinian roots, Rashida Talib said:” No one is above the law”. In a tweet on her official Twitter page, Talib added: “The International Criminal Court has the authority and the duty to investigate independently and fairly and to bring justice to the victims of human rights violations and war crimes in Palestine and Israel, and the United States must not interfere with its ability to do so.” To check the news, click here
