The UK Parliament called on his country’s government to recognize the state of Palestine immediately, indicating its complete rejection of the plan to annex the Palestinian territories to the sovereignty of the Israeli occupation. This came during a session of the House of lords held on September 24, 2020. Parliament affirmed the government’s rejection of the plan to annex the Palestinian lands, and its adoption of the principle of a two-state solution on the 1967 lines in accordance with international resolutions that work to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and achieve peace and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. Members of the UK Parliament also called for acting against British companies that are involved in the illegal settlements and pressing on the occupation government to stop the Israeli policy of annexation, which constituted a significant obstacle in achieving peace in the region.
