The United Kingdom (UK) announced an additional contribution of £12.6 million to UNRWA, bringing its total support to UNRWA during the financial year (April 2020 – March 2021) to £63.6 million. The British consul general in Jerusalem, Philip Hall, said: “I am pleased that the UK is able to provide such additional funding to UNRWA to facilitate the its vital work with the Palestinian refugees, as the UK has ensured -through the work of UNRWA- that thousands of Palestinian refugees have access to education, health care and emergency food supplies, especially as the region grapples with the Coronavirus pandemic.” For further detail, click here
