The US State Department confirmed its rejection of the international Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel. The comment of the State Department’s spokesman, Ned Price, came in his daily press dispatch in response to a question about the American position on the decision of the “Ben & Jerry’s” ice-cream company not to sell its product in the “occupied Palestinian territorie.” Price declined to comment on the company’s decision, saying it is considered the actions of a private company. He added: “We firmly reject the BDS movement, which unfairly singles out Israel […] the United States will be a strong partner in fighting efforts around the world that potentially seek to delegitimize Israel and will work tirelessly to support Israel’s further integration into the international community.” For further details, click here
