Lawyers for Palestinian human rights, Christian aid, Palestinian medical aid, the British Arab Council of Understanding, and other United Kingdom (UK) charities issued a joint statement condemning the statement of the British Prime Minister on the investigation of the ICC into the alleged grave crimes committed in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. The charities stated that the investigation was the first genuine hope of holding the alleged perpetrators accountable for their actions. They further called on the international community to  be consistent in its support for accountability and the rule of law, regardless of the context, and for the Government of the United Kingdom to respect the impartiality and independence of the ICC.
