UN committee calls on Israel to fulfill its obligations, facilitating the provision of Coronavirus vaccines in the OPTs

The United Nations Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices has called upon Israel to comply urgently with its international legal obligations and to ensure that Palestinians and Syrians under its occupation have access to available vaccines for COVID- 19 in accordance with the Fourth Geneva Convention. The Committee expressed its deep concern over reports that Israel is donating surplus COVID-19 vaccines abroad, while failing to fulfill its international legal responsibility and commitment to ensure the vaccination of the Palestinian population in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
