Under item Seven, The Human Rights Council at its forty-sixth session, discussed the reports of the High Commissioner for Human Rights related to colonial settlement and the human rights situation in the Palestinian Territory. The High Commissioner referred to the ongoing Israeli violations of international law, calling on Israel to undertake its legal obligations and investigate the incidents that happened last year. Various groups, including the Arab Group, the Group of Non-Aligned Countries, the African Group, the Group of Organization of Islamic Cooperation Countries, the Gulf Cooperation Council and several other countries, in their national capacity, stressed the importance of keeping item Seven on the council’s agenda.
