A member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Faisal Aranki, said that Palestine was not shocked by the UAE’s decision to agree with Israel, nor at the timing of its announcement. But the shock was that the UAE abandoned its pledges, especially the Beirut summit held in 2002, which linked normalization to the complete and comprehensive withdrawal from the occupied territories in Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon. Adding that the claim promoted by some supporters of the agreement to justify the disgraceful position of the UAE that this agreement concluded with Israel to stop the annexation process.
