On this day in 1980, the UNSC adopted resolution No. (478), in which it decided not to recognize the “Basic Law” and other acts similar to Israel seeking to alter the status of Jerusalem, and called on States that had established diplomatic missions in Jerusalem to withdraw such missions from the Holy City.
